Summary:
This collection consists of two tapes that recorded a single interview taped during the 10th Anniversary Celebration of Broadside Press held at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, in 1975. Womanist observer Mary Lu Lewis conducted the interview. Filmmaker Michelle Citron acted as camera person. She and Mary Lu Lewis had become a couple just two weeks earlier. Over the course of the interview, Audre, Mary Lu, and Michelle became fast friends and the interview ultimately becomes a conversation between the three. Subsequently Mary Lu visited Audre Lorde in New York City several times, and the two became good friends.
