This footage by JoAnn Elam shows a moon rock on display behind a glass window, possibly at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. The moon rock is shown from different angles, with the camera moving around it from behind the glass and capturing its texture from close. Light reflections on the glass, however, obstruct our view, while also creating an eerie atmosphere in tune with the rock’s evocation of space. This footage was probably shot around 1971, two years after the landing of Apollo 11 on the Moon in 1969.
