Several jump cuts punctuate the introduction of a shadow, perhaps Joe’s, waving a piece of paper and clapping to rile the cats;however, while the pair take note of the shadow’s motion, the cats continue in their idleness. The man is Joe Hendrix, JoAnn Elam’s second husband.
