In this footage, JoAnn Elam films a covered bridge and the nature surrounding it in the woods. The camera sometimes lingers on the bridge in a long shot or in a medium shot truncating parts of it, or it moves rapidly through the trees nearby. Until a child appears very briefly near the very end, one feels alone there, as one looks at natural beauty and even becomes immersed in it at times.;This covered bridge and the surrounding forest served as the setting for Elam’s ” 3 Goats and a Gruff ” (F.2011-01-0009) and was possibly shot around the same time (late 1960s).
