This element by JoAnn Elam consists of two title cards written in gold letters against a black background. The first one reads “JoAnn Elam,” the filmmaker’s name, and the second one “Close to Home,” which might have been the title of a project Elam was working on. A few other elements from this collection, mainly Janssen Porch/Garden ’79, Belden & Kimball, Armitage & Western, El Shots, and Fire on Wayne, were also labelled “Close to Home,” thus indicating that Elam might have had the intention to combine them together under the same title. Close to Home was perhaps supposed to be an exploration of Elam’s neighborhood, Logan Square, and its surrounding area in Chicago ca. 1976.

This element by JoAnn Elam consists of two title cards written in gold letters against a black background. The first one reads "JoAnn Elam," the filmmaker's name, and the second one "Close to Home," which might have been the title of a project Elam was working on. A few other elements from this collection, mainly Janssen Porch/Garden '79, Belden & Kimball, Armitage & Western, El Shots, and Fire on Wayne, were also labelled "Close to Home," thus indicating that Elam might have had the intention to combine them together under the same title. Close to Home was perhaps supposed to be an exploration of Elam's neighborhood, Logan Square, and its surrounding area in Chicago ca. 1976.
