The films primarily consist of scenes of family winter and summer activities primarily in Maine and Canada. Footage shows hikes and picnics, skiing and swimming, toboggans, family cars and pets, holiday celebrations, University of Maine, Orono graduations, weddings, camps, and tree harvesting in Nova Scotia. Friends and members of the Steputis family appear throughout. Film is accompanied by four reels of 1/4-inch audiotape.

Biographical/Historical Notes:
Gladys Steputis Clemens was born on April 7, 1919 in Claysville, Pennsylvania. She later attended the University of Pennsylvania. She and her husband Walter Steputis lived with their four daughters (Nancy, Linda, Susan and Sharon) in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, before moving to Veazie, Maine. While living in Maine Gladys studied nutrition at the University of Maine, Orono, from which both she and several of her daughters graduated. Following the death of Walter Steputis in 1972, Gladys returned to Pennsylvania. In 1992, she married L. Erwin Clemens. Gladys Steputis Clemens passed away on May 9, 2014 in Veazie, Maine.
