All of the children, except Rose and Doris, appear in the films with their spouses and many of their children. Estella's sister Julia married Earl Bryant and also appears in the films. They lived in Dresden, Maine. Ruth (Ruthie) lived in Alabama with her husband Ben, and June lived in California with her husband Armand. The rest of the children lived in Maine. Harold, his wife Harriet and their children Harold Jr. (Bud), Carmen, and Susan appear many times in the films. Julia Raven, the donor, also appears in the film with her family. She was married to Floyd Raven and they lived on a farm in Freedom near his mother, Ellurra Buzzell. Ellurra had a shetland pony farm and many of the ponies and the Raven's horses appear in the films.
